Day Before Mashed Potatoes

9 potatoes, peeled and cubed
6 ounces cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons butter


Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Drop in potatoes, and cook until tender but still firm (about 15 minutes). Transfer drained potatoes to a large bowl or stand mixer, and mash/mix until smooth. Mix in the cream cheese, sour cream, onion powder, salt, garlic salt, pepper and butter. Serve immediately or spread in a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. If not eating immediately cover, and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for about 30 minutes until heated through and golden brown on top.
