1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1 cup softened butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups granulated sugar
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon hot water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl cream together the peanut butter, butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Stir in the hot water and vanilla. Combine the flour and salt, then stir into the peanut butter mixture. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Press down lightly, using the tines of a fork. Bake for 10-14 minutes, until bottoms are light brown. Let cookies cool on the cookie sheet before removing them.
