1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter
2/3 evaporated milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
7 oz jar marshmallow creme
12 oz bag milk chocolate chips
6 oz (1 cup) semi sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Line a 8 x 8 pan with aluminum foil and set aside. In a non-stick pan heat the sugar, butter, milk and salt on med-high heat until the sugar has dissolved. Add the marshmallow creme and heat the mixture to a boil stirring constantly. Once the mixture is at a full boil, continue to stir constantly for 6 minutes and 30 seconds making sure not to let it burn (you should be able to turn the burner to around medium once you have gotten the mixture boiling). Remove from heat and quickly put all of the chocolate chips in and mix until fully combined. Add the vanilla and nuts and mix. Pour into prepared pan, shaking it to level it out. Refrigerate for 2 hours until firm. Remove from pan and cut into 48 pieces.
